WHY CSFIRST GREEN?

Made from 100% natural bamboo, we offer an aesthetic, sustainable, and environment-friendly ambiance into your home, office, and business space that could last up to 25 years.

Due to the rapid rate of plant growth, bamboo can be harvested every three to five years, BEING A great alternative compared to the length of time it takes for softwood trees to reach maturity and more than 25 years for many hardwood species which greatly contributes to the destruction of our forests.

Due to its qualities, including rapid growth, great resistance, and durability, bamboo is a fantastic renewable resource that may be used as a sustainable building material.\

HISTORICAL OVERVIEW

2012-2013: The company submitted an application to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for a tenurial instrument covering 10,651 hectares of forestland across five municipalities in Pangasinan. The aim was to establish an industrial bamboo plantation, a strategy championed by our Chairman and Founder to address socio-economic issues (including poverty alleviation) and environmental concerns, thereby contributing to national development.

2015: The application was rejected due to a shift in policy direction, with the recommendation to pursue a smaller designated area instead.

2015: In December, a memorandum was executed for the initiation of a 300-hectare Bamboo Plantation Pilot Project. This project was designed to demonstrate the company’s financial and technical capacity to rehabilitate extensive denuded areas or forestlands. Additionally, it served as a collaborative research endeavor with the DENR, exploring the viability of bamboo as a new commodity, given the company’s pioneering status in bamboo plantation development.

2019: The company reapplied for the tenurial instrument for the 10,651 hectares, which was subsequently approved within the same year.

2020: The company began the formulation of its Comprehensive Development and Management Plan (CDMP) and Environmental Performance Report and Management Plan (EPRMP).

2021: The CDMP and EPRMP were submitted to the DENR for approval.

2021: The EPRMP received approval in December.

2022: The CDMP was approved in January.
